Our tadpoles have really grown. They are swimming around their small pond (a big bucket) with nice long tails.

Frogspawn turning into tadpoles
Monday, March 7th, 2011
Most of the little black dots of the frog spawn have changed shape. They are now long and thin, instead of being like a sphere. Some of them have turned into proper tadpoles and are swimming around with their long tails.

Frogspawn in Senior infants
Last year we grew frogs from tadpoles. Check out our progress on:

We have a bucket of Frogspawn in our classroom. Last year Senior infants in Room 5 got 3 tadpoles and managed to raise a frog (which was taken safely back to the pond from which he came). This year we are going to try again to raise frogs. Our frogspawn looks healthy now. One piece of frogspawn has already turned into a tadpole. We wonder if he will be our first frog?
